The Brainerd Hotel and Conference Center has given us an
unbelievable rate of $79.00 for the Midwest Regional Tournament hosted in
Baxter.
The Brainerd/Baxter is a big tourist area and all the hotels get filled up. In order to take some of the pressure off and insure your state of rooms please consider calling the Brainerd Hotel and Conference center and set up a block of rooms for your state. It will be of no cost to you but it will guarantee your State's team a place to stay for the tournament.
A suggestion is to set up a block of 10 - 20 rooms so your
parents can call in; set it up under your state and the code word is "Cal
Ripken rooms". If you set up your block of rooms until July 20th
or (whatever your state tournament champion is determined) they will
hold those rooms for your state until that date. After that date they will
release the rooms for other people.
The Brainerd Hotel and Conference Center has been great to
work with and they are excited to be hosting such a great tournament. Please
help them out by confirming your state team will stay at their hotel. It will
also give them a great rate; other hotel rates in the area are over $100. a
night and some much more.
